Benchmarking of the Agricultural Research for Development (R4D) Management System with Selected Asian Countries

General Objectives:

The project aims to assess and analyze the R4D Coordination and Management activities of Asian Agriculture and Fisheries funding institutions (focusing on the grants system).

Specific Objectives:

  1. Assess the policies and factors affecting the effectiveness and ineffectiveness of the A/F R4D program implementation and management of selected countries.
  2. Provide recommendations for the adoption of the good practices and policies observed and gathered.

Expected Outputs per Objective

  1. Assessment and benchmarking report identifying various factors influencing the effectiveness of R4D program implementation and management
  2. Gap analysis report and policy recommendations, including Actionable Operational Policies for BAR’s R4D system.
