SEARCA conducts lecture for better vegetable growing

THE Philippine government-hosted Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA) has organized a three-day training workshop on vegetable production at Salvacion National High School, Busuanga town in Palawan province. The training workshop, through the School-plus-Home Gardens Project, is in line with the project's commitment to build the capacities of agricultural extension workers in local government units (LGUs) and educators from Busuanga and Coron in providing technical assistance on crop production and improving soil productivity in the school gardening activities of target schools. (SGOI) have teamed up to implement the School Edible Landscaping for Entrepreneurship (SEL4E) Project in Rizal Province. They formalized their partnership in a signing ceremony held on 1 July 2022 at SEARCA in Los Baños, Laguna. The SEL4E Project takes off from the success of the School-plus-Home Gardens Project (S+HGP) implemented by SEARCA in six elementary and high schools in Laguna wherein harvests from the school gardens provided fresh vegetables for the school-based feeding program and enhanced the food and nutrition security…

LOS BAÑOS, Laguna: An intergovernmental treaty organization hosted by the Philippines and a company that provides an end-to-end maritime solution with tailored services have forged a partnership to implement the School Edible Landscaping for Entrepreneurship (SEL4E) Project in Rizal province. The Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA) has partnered with the Manila-based Synergy Group Operations Inc. (SGOI) for the project as part of its corporate social responsibility or CSR program.
