LOS BAÑOS, Philippines – After a three-week intensive course, 16 Southeast Asian participants completed the Post Graduate Course on Food and Nutrition Security and Sustainable Development in Southeast Asia at the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB). NAY PYI TAW, Myanmar – The ASEAN Social Forestry Network Strategic Response Fund (ASRF) conducted a Project Development Assistance (PDA) workshop at the Forest Research Institute (FRI) in Yezin, Nay Pyi Taw in Myanmar on 7-9 July 2015. The ASRF conducts PDA workshops to assist ASEAN Member States (AMS) in developing project proposals that would respond to the needs of the ASEAN Social Forestry Network (ASFN) Focal Points in addressing emerging issues related to social forestry in their respective countries. MISAMIS ORIENTAL, Philippines – A total of 45 farmer cooperators comprised the second batch of participants in the training course on Organic and Scientific Native Chicken Production on 6 July 2015 at the Misamis Oriental State College of Agriculture and Technology (MOSCAT) in Claveria, Misamis Oriental. The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has commissioned the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (CSIRO) based in Australia to develop a Regional Climate Projections Consortium and Data Facility (RCC) that will build regional capability initially in Southeast Asia to develop, access, interpret and apply climate change data and information.
