BANGKOK, Thailand – The joint thematic initiative of the Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA) and the ASEAN Centre for Biodiversity (ACB) on mainstreaming agrobiodiversity resulted in the conduct of the Multi-sectoral Workshop on Mainstreaming Biodiversity in Food and Agriculture in Bangkok, Thailand on 4-6 December 2018. The workshop provided a platform for the environment and agriculture sectors in the ASEAN Community to discuss and develop a common understanding of agrobiodiversity conservation and sustainable use. BALI, Indonesia – Ms. May Soe Oo and Mr. Sem Savuth, both SEARCA scholars, participated in the 7th International Conference on Integration of Science and Technology for Sustainable Development 2018 (ICIST2018) held on 26-29 November 2018 at The Patra Bali Resort and Villas, here. The conference with the theme, "Water conservation, Biological Diversity, Food Safety and Agriculture," was organized to initiate an international network among academic members, researchers, scientists, and others interested in science and technology. BOGOR, Indonesia – The ASEAN Swiss Partnership on Social Forestry and Climate Change (ASFCC) held its annual Planning Meeting to discuss operational plans for 2019, the program's final year of full implementation.
