An inter-government treaty organization in graduate study and research in agriculture continues to collaborate with a Cambodia-based university in the development of an internal quality assurance (IQA) system conducted in 10 online workshops. Between the Philippine government-hosted Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA) and the Royal University of Agriculture (RUA) in Cambodia, the partnership agreement is to establish broad-based technical cooperation for the development of an IQA mentoring program for RUA. THE town of Los Baños in Laguna province will be the site of a two-country study on coping strategies to ensure food security among urban households during the Covid-19 pandemic. The study is jointly implemented by the Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA) and its Indonesia-based sister centers under the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (Seameo). While SEARCA is conducting the study in the Philippines, the Seameo Regional Center for Food and Nutrition and Seameo Regional Center for Tropical Biology will implement the study in two cities in Indonesia. THE Philippine government-hosted Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA) has organized a three-day training workshop on vegetable production at Salvacion National High School, Busuanga town in Palawan province. The training workshop, through the School-plus-Home Gardens Project, is in line with the project's commitment to build the capacities of agricultural extension workers in local government units (LGUs) and educators from Busuanga and Coron in providing technical assistance on crop production and improving soil productivity in the school gardening activities of target schools. (SGOI) have teamed up to implement the School Edible Landscaping for Entrepreneurship (SEL4E) Project in Rizal Province. They formalized their partnership in a signing ceremony held on 1 July 2022 at SEARCA in Los Baños, Laguna. The SEL4E Project takes off from the success of the School-plus-Home Gardens Project (S+HGP) implemented by SEARCA in six elementary and high schools in Laguna wherein harvests from the school gardens provided fresh vegetables for the school-based feeding program and enhanced the food and nutrition security… Read more
