The Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA) has available limited grants for participation in the 2023 IETM (see the program here), which is being organized with the International School of Sustainable Tourism (ISST) as main proponent.
IETM is the first green travel mart and selling fair in the world presented by the Asian Ecotourism Network (AEN), a regional initiative of the Global Ecotourism Network (GEN) based in Costa Rica, in cooperation with ISST (download the IETM flyer here).
SEARCA has limited grants available for participants who are nationals of the 11 SEAMEO member countries (i.e., Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Timor-Leste, and Vietnam). Criteria for the training grant are as follows:
- Relevance of present position/role (e.g., as curriculum developers, researchers, development practitioners, or agriculture and extension workers) in relation to the event objectives;
- Proficiency in spoken and written English (all sessions will be conducted in English);
- With regular full-time appointment on active status (not on leave), as certified by the Head of Human Resource and Development of the sending institution/organization and likely to continue serving in the institution/organization for two more years or longer;
- Clearly expressed willingness to participate actively in the full learning event, including support from direct superior;
- Endorsed by the organization/institution head; and
- Has prepared a draft Re-Entry Action Plan (REAP).
